Please note that as of 11 June 2024, the P1 public car park will no longer be ticketed, and will be going cashless, managed through the CellOPark app.

P1 Parking – Monday to Friday rates
Conditions apply between 8.30am to 6.30pm

The University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus offers convenient short-term parking for visitors. This parking lot is located on the southern side of the Science Space and indicated on the map below in blue and white stripes.
If travelling along Squires Way enter the Innovation Campus via Puckey Avenue and take the first driveway on the right indicated with a large blue ‘P’ sign.
If travelling along Montague Street enter the Campus via Puckey Avenue, over the bridge. Travel through the first intersection and head towards the ocean, take the next driveway on your left indicated with a large blue ‘P’ sign.
As of 11 June 2024, this car park will be managed through the UOW Parking team and payment made through the CellOPark app.
When you park in the P1, ensure you open the CellOPark app, and start your session.
- press the ‘Scan QR’ button in the app and scan the QR code located on signs, or
- select University of Wollongong from the drop down menu, or
- enter the seven digit zone number 2522600.
You can have up to two vehicles registered on your account, but you need to ensure you have selected the ‘active’ vehicle when parking. Press ‘press to start’ when you are ready to start your parking session. When you have finished your parking session, you need to press ‘press to stop’.
With CellOPark, you only pay for what you use, as long as you stop your session as you leave.
MOBILITY PARKING
Parking is free on campus for Mobility Parking Scheme Permit holders. These permits are issued by Roads and Maritime Services and must be displayed clearly on the vehicle.
Mobility permit holders are authorised to access dedicated mobility parking bays, UOW Entry permit bays and ticket bays, free of charge. Permit holders are also able to use the Public Parking Station (P1).
Only Australian mobility permit holders who display a current/valid permit may access dedicated mobility parking bays. These conditions apply 24 hours, seven days a week. Penalties apply for improper use of mobility parking bays.
GETTING TO THE INNOVATION CAMPUS
There are a variety of ways to get to the Innovation Campus. Find out about free shuttle buses, cycling and walking, the train, and available parking options.
Reserved Parking
For commercial tenants or clients of the Innovation Campus looking to reserve a dedicated parking space, UOW offers the P4 on-grade, located at the southern end of the campus. This car park is managed by UOW and uses the vPermit system.
When registering for an account, please choose your role (i.e. SmartSpace client, IC tenant) from the drop down menu to see relevant permits available to you.
UOW Staff Parking
UOW has implemented an online parking permit management system (vPermit). vPermit will be available on the Wollongong campus, Innovation campus and at some student accommodation residences.
vPermit allows UOW staff, eligible students, and other user groups to apply for and manage parking permits online (eligibility conditions apply). The system replaces physical paper and sticker permits, and paper-based application forms. No physical parking permits will be issued.
vPermit holders will be able to park in the P5 car park on Innovation Campus.
