This new online platform has a range of dementia training and resources. Dementia Discovery has been specifically designed to guide to educate people who are new to the workforce and supporting people living with dementia, as well as support them on their learning pathway by offering different kinds of training. The training includes online micro-courses; a catalogue of readings, help sheets as well as access to other training and resources.
These new 15 minute micro-courses provide staff with a basic working knowledge about the brain and the common types of dementia, introduces the principles of person-centred care and communication, and even comes with a certificate of completion.
