Monthly Lunchtime Food Truck
Bun Me Bar: 2 June Bun Me Bar will be joining us on Innovation Campus as part of our monthly lunchtime food truck specials on Thursday, June 2nd!
The University of Wollongong is committed to a Reconciliation journey alongside our Indigenous colleagues and community members. As part of the University Reconciliation Action Plan, the Innovation Campus has installed 3 flag poles to feature the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island flags alongside the Australian flag. This year in Reconciliation week, the Innovation Campus will host a Flag Raising ceremony followed by an Allyship workshop to recognise the importance of community and coming together.
Flag Raising CeremonyÂ
Guests are invited to join UOW Executives and members of our Indigenous community to officially raise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags on the Innovation Campus for the first time, followed by a yarn over some bush tucker.
Allyship workshop
Following the flag raising ceremony, guests are invited to join Dr Summer May Finlay in an Allyship workshop in the Ocean Room, Level 2 of The Central Building. Summer is a proud Yorta Yorta woman, passionate about her family, education and being an ally.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP here.
Please note that you can only register for the one event, however you are welcome to come to either the flag ceremony or the workshop, or both.
We look forward to seeing you there!
