Living Building status formally awarded

University of Wollongong’s Sustainable Buildings Research Centre was formally recognised as a Living Building last week.

Industry partners, project teams and academic staff came together to celebrate the achievement with SBRC’s director Paul Cooper accepting a plaque from the Living Future Institute of Australia’s CEO Laura Hamilton-O’Hara.

SBRC is the first building in Australia to obtain Living Building certification.
